A woman died after a collision between two cars in Brampton on Wednesday night.
Peel police said the crash happened shortly before 8:20 p.m. on McVean and Countryside Drives.
When police and paramedics arrived, they found several wounded, including one without vital signs.
Const. Mandip Katra said a 60-year-old woman was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition. She later died of her wounds.
One of the drivers was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Hatra said the two victims were passengers in the same car. He added that there were a total of five people in the two vehicles involved.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
“The investigation is ongoing. We are trying to determine exactly what happened,” Hatra said.
