Blizzard in Manitoba: How much more snow is coming to southern Manitoba on Thursday

As the spring storm enters its second day in southern Manitoba, Environment Canada reveals how much more snow is forecast to come to the province.

On Thursday morning, the meteorological agency told CTV News Winnipeg that so far Winnipeg has received 25 centimeters of snow. He predicts that the city, along with the Red River Valley and southeastern Manitoba, will be hit another five to 10 centimeters as the day progresses.

According to Environment Canada, Brandon experienced snowstorms for 10 hours on Wednesday. These conditions include wind speeds of 90 km / h and zero visibility.

The Meteorological Agency was unable to provide the current total snowfall for Brandon, but said the storm would bring only a few more inches on Thursday.

Environment Canada added that Dauphin and the Interlake region are likely to be affected by another five to 10 centimeters of snow on the second day of the storm.

As for which community is expected to be hardest hit on Thursday, the meteorological agency said it was the Behrens River, which is expected to receive 10 to 15 centimeters.
