Putin’s defense minister “suffers huge heart attack for unnatural reasons”

Russia’s defense minister has suffered a massive heart attack that is not the result of natural causes, says a prominent Russian oligarch.

Sergei Shoigu, 66, is said to be “out of the game” after an emergency and may “remain disabled” if he survives, according to businessman Leonid Nevzlin.

The 52-year-old man, who is an enemy of Vladimir Putin, added that the civil servant is currently “in intensive care related to devices,” writes the Mirror.

He also claims that 20 defense ministry generals have been detained as part of a £ 7.6 billion corruption case, with 150 Federal Security Service (FSB) officers already arrested.

The former co-owner of the oil giant Yukos in exile claims that his news was transmitted by his anonymous sources in Moscow, but has not yet been confirmed independently.

One theory may be that potential coup plotters are locked up or otherwise incapacitated.

Mr Nevzlin said on Facebook: “Shoigu is out of the game, he could become disabled if he survives.

“He suddenly had a massive heart attack.

“Rumor has it that the heart attack could not have occurred for natural reasons.

There have been previous rumors of Shoigu’s heart problems, as well as allegations that he was out of sight because Putin ordered him to operate from a remote nuclear bunker in the Urals.

There were also reports that Putin had sidelined him after the invasion after the Kremlin’s forces suffered heavy losses.

Shoigu was seen on April 13 in a video conference with Putin and other ministers on Arctic development.

He was wearing a suit and taking notes, apparently writing down Putin’s instructions.

He could not be heard speaking.

Previously, however, there have been questions about whether canned footage is sometimes used in these sessions, when Putin is seen meeting remotely with ministers.

Nevzlin did not say when he directly believed Shoigu had had a heart attack.

He claims that all the detained generals are from the “headquarters” and not from the field in Ukraine – but did not provide evidence of such mass detention during the war in Ukraine.

Nevzlin wrote: “Everything is clear here – the total misappropriation of funds for the preparation of [taking over the leadership of Ukraine].

“Since 2014, about $ 10 billion has been stolen from Putin to prepare for the blitzkrieg.

A 50-year-old former Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich is also facing criminal charges, Nevzlin said.

He added: “He is expected to testify against his colleagues and friends.

“Sources in the FSB say that if he does not agree with the investigation, he will be transferred either to the Matrosskaya Tishina pre-trial detention center or to the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center.

He also pointed out that the man who “invented Putinism” – ideologue Vladislav Surkov – has been detained in Russia and is under house arrest.

Reports of this surfaced yesterday and were seen Putin turning against his inner circle amid a war crisis and deep divisions in the Kremlin.

He said: “Surkov is under house arrest. This is the same case in which 20 generals were arrested.”

This includes the alleged disappearance of funds designed to pave the way for war and easily take over Ukraine with the help of locals.

Nevzlin was a Russian-born Israeli businessman, investor and philanthropist.

He held senior positions in the Menatep Group and its subsidiary, Yukos Oil Company.
