A girl died after an accident on a school bus

A 13-year-old girl who was injured in a school bus accident in Dorchester, NB, died on Tuesday from her injuries.

The RCMP in New Brunswick told CTV News on Thursday that they learned of the girl’s death on Wednesday.

Police say the case is closed and will not disclose further details about the incident, as the investigation is not criminal.

The judiciary says it is investigating the girl’s death, but will not comment further because it is an “active investigation”.

Ambulances responded to a report of an injured child on Woodlow Road in Dorchester shortly after 2pm on Tuesday.

The girl is in danger of death in the accident in which a school bus was involved.

The RCMP initially described the incident as a collision, but said on Wednesday that nothing had hit the bus.

No other details have been released.

The girl was a student at Dorchester Consolidated School. No classes were held in the building on Wednesday, but grief counselors were available throughout the day to help students and staff.
