Russian strikes have struck a military factory near Kyiv that produces missiles that Ukraine claims it used to sink Moscow’s naval flagship.
The Vizar military factory near Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, was partially destroyed by Russian strikes at night, according to an AFP reporter at the scene.
This comes after Moscow on Friday promised renewed attacks on the capital.
Earlier, Russia said it had used long-range Caliber-based missiles to hit a factory that Ukrainian state-owned weapons manufacturer Ukroboronprom claims produces Neptune missiles.
“It simply came to our notice then. My employee was in the office and was knocked off his feet by the blast, “said Andrei Sizov, a 47-year-old owner of a nearby wood workshop.

The United Nations has pleaded for access to Ukrainians trapped in war zones, saying the besieged were starving.

He was not allowed access to conflict zones, including the southern port city of Mariupol and the heavily shelled Nikolaev east of Odessa.
“We call on everyone to give us the access we need to reach the people in the besieged cities,” WFP Executive Director David Beasley said in a statement.
