British Columbia registered another 23 deaths related to COVID-19 in the week ending April 9.

The new reported cases for the same period are 1770.

In its weekly report on pandemic statistics, data from the Center for Disease Control in British Columbia show that 364 people are in hospital and 36 of them are in critical care as of Thursday.

Statistics from the center show that 91% of those aged 18 and over have received two doses of the vaccine.

Those in the 5 to 11 age group who have had two vaccines are now 40 percent.

Omicron remains the most common variant of infection among BC residents.
