A sexual predator was caught thanks to its quick-witted victims and a brave woman who chased the crawler and hit him in the face.
Ahmed Al-Razave carried out three sexual assaults in central Liverpool in just four days last fall. The 24-year-old first approached two teenage friends sitting at a bus stop, asking them for sex and feeling their thighs.
He then punched a young woman in the ass before biting her chest after she hit him on the ground. The judge said al-Razawe tried to treat the victims as his “sex goods” without “disregarding their rights”.

But they outwitted the predator – they used their mobile phones to photograph and film it. And a woman even chased him down the street before hitting him, which helped put him behind bars.
Al-Razave attacked two teenagers aged 17 and 18 who were waiting for a taxi at Liverpool One bus station at around 11.30 pm on Saturday, October 23.
He felt their feet and slid his hand up one of the victim’s shorts. But the other used her phone to film it and shoot a video, which she later posted on Facebook to warn others and identify him.
At the time, the Syrian citizen – who had entered the UK illegally and applied for asylum – was living in a hostel on Upper Park Street, Toxteth. A few days later, the man running the hostel was sent a screenshot of the publication when he immediately recognized al-Razau and contacted police.
Al-Razawe, meanwhile, struck again, this time on Lydia Ann Street, around 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, October 27. The drunken thug approached two women walking down the street, asking them to open a bottle of wine, and as they continued, he slapped and squeezed the bottom of one of the women.
When her friend protested, he started waving his hand at her, so the woman he had just harassed grabbed him by the neck and they both fell. There he dug his teeth into her left breast and hit her in the head with the bottle.
The Royal Court of Liverpool heard a man shout “Get down” and Al-Razau fled. But at the moment, the two women have been joined by another friend who is chasing him and catching up with him.

Prosecutor Henry Ryding said: “There was something like a fight before he escaped again. During this fight, however, the friend hit the defendant in the face.
“The defendant received an injury that caused bleeding and some of his blood fell on his friend’s clothes. As a result, it was compared to the defendant as a result of DNA analysis.”
The third victim and her two friends also managed to take pictures of Al-Razau before he was elected to an identity parade. Faced with the vast evidence against him, the coward admitted three counts of sexual assault and one charge of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
The 17-year-old victim told the court she was left to sleep. In a statement from the victim, she said: “Every time I closed my eyes, I could see his face.” She added that she is now much more wary of people when she is out and that she is relieved that neither she nor her boyfriend were alone.
The 18-year-old victim said she was jumped by the slightest noise, had difficulty falling asleep and woke up with a heavy feeling in her chest. Mr Ryding said: “She describes how she doesn’t want to get up or go out and go through what happened in her head over and over again.”
The third victim, in her 20s, moved to Liverpool from another area and described how uncomfortable she felt in the city. She suffered from nightmares, struggled with social situations and reacted negatively to men who touched her in a friendly way.

Mr Ryding said: “She describes that the bite on her breasts has left a lasting mark, which is a constant reminder of what has happened and affects the clothing she can wear.”
Delivering the verdict, Judge Register Harris praised the woman who “bravely” pursued Al-Razau and helped bring him to justice. He said the pervert would have to be on the sex offenders’ register for a decade.
Al-Razau, who claims that alcohol and drugs played a role in both attacks and that he does not remember the first incident, was found by a probation officer to “pose a high risk of causing serious harm to women”. Record holder Harris said he had shown “no insight or empathy” and had a “predatory sexual approach to women”.
The judge sentenced him to three years in prison. Al-Razau will serve half of his sentence in prison, at which point he will either be released on license or deported, depending on the outcome of a hearing at the Interior Ministry.
