Toronto police have arrested and charged three people with second-degree murder after a man was found dead at his residence in downtown Toronto earlier this week.

Police were called to the Harbor and York streets shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday. When officers arrived on the scene, police said they had found a dead man at his home.

He was identified by police as Daniel Hoffman, 31, Toronto. He is the 21st victim of murder in the city this year.

The cause of his death has not been announced by police.

In a press release issued Friday, investigators said with the help of the Niagara Regional Police, three suspects had been arrested in connection with the incident.

Adriana Desario, 20, of Oakville, Nicki Kirimi, 18, of Toronto, and Dawson Aguilera Jimenez, 22, of Toronto, are charged with second-degree murder.

They appeared in the Toronto courtroom earlier today.
