Two men were stabbed during a battle in downtown Kelowna in the early hours of Friday morning, and a third man was arrested.
In a press release issued Friday morning, Capt. Tammy Lobb of the RCMP in Kelowna says police were patrolling downtown around 3 a.m. when they encountered a fight in an alley south of a fire station in downtown Kelowna, outside of Water Street.
“The officers immediately intervened and learned that two men had received injuries corresponding to stab wounds,” Capt. Said Lob.
“One 26-year-old man and one 28-year-old man received serious non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospital by EHS.
Police arrested a 33-year-old man at the scene and he remains in custody while police continue their investigation.
“It is not yet known what led to this act of violence,” said Cap. Forehead. “If anyone has information about this stabbing, our investigators want to hear from him.”
