If Kyler Murray wants to be exchanged and the cardinals are willing to do so, who will make the move for him?
The most obvious candidates would be the three finalists for Deshon Watson, who did not receive the new quarterback of the Browns: Panthers, Falcons and Saints. This suggests that each of these teams would be fine with a quarterback who is on a very short side, by NFL starting quarterback standards.
The Eagles would probably be interested. At AFC, Texas would also explore the possibility.
Whoever does this will have to be willing to pay Murray what he wants financially and give the cardinals what they would demand as compensation. This may be more than some teams would like to invest.
And that, in the end, may be the best the cardinals have for them. If no one wants to pay Murray or give the cardinals what they would like for a deal to happen, no one will come to the table and Murray will continue to be a cardinal. At least for now.
