“She was eventually blocked and further harassed by a crowd on the beach, where she later died before rescuers could arrive,” the network said in a Facebook post.
Quintana Beach County officials said the animal was stranded on the beach south of Houston on Sunday night. According to Brazoria County, park staff were called in to keep the public away from the dolphin, but he died before rescuers could arrive from Galveston.
