A tribute to the young Scottish mother, who “always made everyone laugh” as ordered

A young Scottish mother who was found dead in a home in Coutbridge was remembered as a person who “always made everyone laugh” while her heartbroken friends paid tribute to her.

Emma Bailey was found dead on a property on Calder Street in North Lanarkshire at around 5.35pm on Tuesday (April 12th).

Police have treated the 26-year-old’s death as murder and linked him to another body found nearby.

John Paul Duffy, 51, was also found dead in an apartment on Coates City Street on Sunday (April 10th).

A 46-year-old man was charged in connection with the two deaths on Friday.

Emma’s devastated relatives went on social media to pay their respects, saying everyone would miss her.

“She was the girl who always made everyone laugh and didn’t deserve to go the way she did.

“It simply came to our notice then.

The 46-year-old man accused of Emma’s death is due to appear in Airdrie Sheriff’s court on Saturday (April 16th).

Detective Chief Inspector Graham Grant said: “I would also like to assure the public that officers are working to establish the full circumstances of the incident and that there is an increased police presence in the area. If you have any concerns, call us at 101 or talk to employees.

“Extensive investigations into both deaths are ongoing and we want to talk to anyone who may have seen one in recent weeks as we work to establish their whereabouts.
