Live updates as fire crews rush to blaze with “smoke drifting on the road”

The Humberside Fire and Rescue Service is currently dealing with a fire on Stoneferry Road.

Police confirmed that the fire broke out at a garbage collection site. The smoke is said to be drifting on the road, causing some visibility problems.

The fire service confirmed that there are currently five fire trucks and called on drivers in the area to be careful. He also called on all residents nearby to keep their windows closed.

Humberside police said: “Emergency services are dealing with a large fire at the Stonefery Road Waste Management Site. We ask you to avoid the area, if possible, if this is not possible, please reduce the speed due to road equipment, visibility is greatly reduced “
