April 16 (Reuters) – Russian Navy Chief Admiral Nikolai Evmenov met with crew members of the sunken missile cruiser Moscow and said he would continue to serve in the fleet, the defense ministry said on Saturday.
Russia said Thursday that Moscow sank after an explosion of ammunition. Ukraine has said it fired a missile at the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s flagship.
Russia’s Defense Ministry has released a 26-second video showing Evmenov and two other officers standing outside in front of about 100 sailors in a parade. He showed how to talk to a man.
The ministry did not say when the meeting took place.
Russia said the entire crew of 500 was rescued after the blast late Wednesday. Ukrainian authorities said some of the people on board were killed, but did not provide evidence of the allegations.
