Toronto police released a photo of a suspect in a collision and running in the center

Police released a photo of a suspect wanted in connection with a collision and escape in downtown Toronto, in which a woman was seriously injured earlier this week.

The incident happened around 3:15 a.m. on April 14 near Spadina Avenue and King Street West.

According to investigators, a high-speed vehicle collided with a 30-year-old pedestrian, stopped briefly and then fled the scene.

Toronto Police Sergeant. Murray Campbell told reporters at the time that the driver “knew exactly what happened” before fleeing the scene.

The vehicle was described by police as a bright Mercedes convertible that would have noticeable damage to the front.

Police released a new image of the vehicle on Saturday, saying it was probably “white, 2019 or newer Mercedes AMG GT convertible with red interior and convertible.”

In the image, the roof of the car is removed and a driver can be seen. Police released a stern description, saying only that the man had dark hair.

“Officials would also encourage the man to contact a lawyer and report to the police,” the investigators said in a statement.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
