The Stettler man accused of manslaughter, humiliation

A 22-year-old man from Stettler faces two serious charges after Mounties says the man was found dead in a home.

On Thursday, the RCMP received word that someone was dead at a home on 50A Avenue. Police later found a dead 33-year-old man inside.

At this point, Alberta’s RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation.

The RCMP later arrested and charged Byron Irwin Dinsmore, 22, of Stetler with manslaughter and humiliation.

Dinsmore remained in police custody until his next court appearance on April 21, 2022.

Police said they were not looking for additional suspects.
