LOGANVILLE, Georgia – A 10-year-old girl died after a fire at a home in Gwyneth County early Sunday morning, and police are now investigating her death as murder.
Firefighters received a call from two children under the age of 15 caught in a burning home at block 4400 on Beaver Road SW in unincorporated Loganville around 4:57 p.m.
A 15-year-old boy believed to be at home was later found safely elsewhere.
The dead girl was found in a bedroom without access to the window. She has not been identified.
Police say they are currently investigating the girl’s death as murder.

Firefighters said two adults, five children, two dogs and two cats lived in the home.
One adult and four of the children were at home when the fire broke out. Both dogs survived, but both cats died.
Firefighters say the cause of the fire is still being clarified.
