A 30-year-old woman died after being hit and fleeing downtown Toronto on Thursday, Toronto police said.
Around 3:15 a.m. Thursday, ambulance crews were called to an area near Spadina Avenue and King Street West for a clash.
Police then said a high-speed vehicle collided with a pedestrian, stopped briefly and then fled the scene.
The victim was rushed to a critical trauma center, where he died on Saturday.
Police did not reveal the woman’s identity.

Investigators released a photo of the vehicle and the driver, who believe they were involved in the crash and the run.
The car is described as white, 2019 or newer convertible Mercedes AMG GT with red interior and convertible.
The only suspicious description provided by the police was that the driver was a man with dark hair. Officers are asking him to contact a lawyer and turn himself in to police.
Police are also asking locals, businesses and drivers who may have been in the area or have security guards or recorded by the area or incident management camera to contact investigators.
