A £ 166,000 German reconnaissance drone has been delivered to Ukrainian troops defending the central city of Dnipro.
Vector, manufactured by Quantum Systems, has an advanced laser rangefinder that can be used to aim artillery fire. Its high-resolution camera can send encrypted videos up to ten miles away. Despite its wingspan of nearly three meters, it is designed for vertical take-off from an upright position and has a maximum flight time of two hours.
The drone was purchased by Henadi Korban, a local businessman and politician, and donated to members of the Dnieper’s territorial defense.
