Hunter Biden is seen in public in an Easter egg roll at the White House

Hunter Biden – whose dubious foreign business deals draw more attention to him and his father, President Biden – appeared in the Easter egg at the White House on Monday with his wife and 2-year-old son.

The first son was spotted holding his own son Bo while his wife, Melissa Cohen, watched him during the Easter celebrations on Monday afternoon, the first to take place at the White House in 2019 over the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was Hunter Biden’s first sighting since March 30, the same day the Washington Post acknowledged the authenticity of emails from Biden’s infamous laptop, which the New York Post reported for the first time a year and a half earlier.

The New York Times also belatedly confirmed the authenticity of the emails just two weeks earlier.

Monday’s ceremony, which drew thousands of children and adults to the White House lawn, was held in wet conditions and under a gray sky.

“My job is not to rain for another two minutes,” Biden joked at the beginning of his speech, welcoming the audience to the event.

Other members of Biden’s family present at the egg roll included President Ashley’s daughter and Natalie Biden, the daughter of Bo Biden, the president’s son, who died in 2015 of brain cancer.

Hunter Biden and his family returned to the White House on Sunday night after spending the Easter weekend with their father and First Lady Jill Biden at Camp David.

The first son’s visit to the White House comes amid heightened control over his business relations in Ukraine and China, including whether he took advantage of his father’s political influence to earn lucrative payouts and whether his father helped facilitate those ties. .

Last week, a group of Republican members asked the Justice Department to update Congress on Hunter Biden’s investigations, saying his overseas interests could include violations of civil or criminal law by the president and members of his administration.

Delaware Attorney David Weiss is already investigating whether Hunter Biden committed tax fraud by failing to fully account for the money he was paid to serve on Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company that paid him up to $ 50,000 a month. .

Along with his ties to Burisma, lawmakers are seeking information about Hunter’s ties to foreign nationals in China, Serbia and Kazakhstan, a laptop containing “potentially compromising material” and every effort to help White House Chief of Staff Ron Klein gather 20 $ 000 for the Vice Presidential Residence Foundation.

The Post first reported on Hunter Biden’s shady business deals in a series of revelations starting in October 2020, based on information found on a laptop his son left at a computer repair shop in Delaware.

Initially, most media outlets declined to follow the stories, claiming they may be misinformation instilled by Russian intelligence. However, the recent confirmation by the mainstream media that the laptop and its contents are genuine has led to more calls to verify Hunter Biden’s foreign business transactions.
