John Oliver reveals how he has been trolling Dr. Oz for years

In the Sunday evening edition of Last week tonightJohn Oliver kicked off the show, referring to the recent approval of former President Donald Trump by snake oil seller Dr. Mehmet Oz, who aggressively prescribed hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 during the pandemic in the Pennsylvania Senate.

“You know, when you’ve been on TV for 18 years, it’s like a poll. That means people like you. But he’s a great man, “Trump told Oz.

“Yeah. I hadn’t heard that voice in a long time, and honestly, I did really I did not miss it. “The first growl in this video was like hearing the sound of a spinning mower that you know is about to sexually harass you,” Oliver said. “Now, when it comes to his claim that being on TV for a long time is like a poll that shows that people like you, it’s just not true. Trust me. I’ve been on TV in this country for 16 years and I still get comments on YouTube like “I hope it stops soon”, “why is it less funny, sir. beans so angry?

Oliver went on to describe Dr. Oz’s campaign in the Senate as a “disgusting show,” including the revelation that Dr. Oz apparently didn’t spend much time living in Pennsylvania.

“He has lived in New Jersey for years and his social media still often shows him at his North Jersey mansion, so he’s running for a job in a state he doesn’t seem to want to live in – a political move like ‘Eric Adams Special Oliver suggested.

The host then revealed late in the evening that Dr. Oz’s show was filmed in the same studio as his own and that Dr. Oz’s offices were directly opposite. Last week tonight‘which prompted Oliver’s staff to position a giant alligator pointing to the middle finger in Dr. Oz’s office. One of the biggest breakthroughs in Dr. Oz’s campaign is making videos on TikTok of refueling his car and then blaming Biden and Democrats for the high prices.

“Look, gas prices are a real problem, but Dr. Oz is worth over $ 100 million, so it’s a little weird for him to act like he’s burdening his budget,” Oliver said. “But maybe he posted these videos just to get a little less related content down his page, like, I don’t know, this one.”

He then threw in a video that Dr. Oz posted about fighting on a wakeboard in Italy, accompanied by the caption “Surfing through #Italy like” and tuned to the melody of “Oooh Ahh (My Life Be Like)” by Gritz.

“The truth is, his life is like that because he’s fucking rich, which means he can do things like that,” Oliver said. “What he can’t do, though, is stand in front of gas stations and pretend to be personally affected by those numbers.”

He continued: “I talked a lot of nonsense about Dr. Oz’s Show and I did it because it was inexorably horrible. But what is clear now is that I did not appreciate how hard his staff had to work every day to make sure it would not get worse. He had to give up his show to run for the Senate, and if any of his staff come back to our office in the coming weeks to clear things up, we’ve actually left a new special message about them to our alligator: “I’m sorry, he looks like a fucking nightmare really right. “
