Prince Harry wears five Invictus Games bodyguards amid security dispute in UK

Prince Harry and Megan Markle were spotted surrounded by five bodyguards as they made their way to the second day of the Invictus Games in the Netherlands.

According to The Daily Star, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted with a total of five security guards after it was announced that they would be granted VVIP status by Dutch police.

Despite VVIP’s status, Harry and Megan were denied permission to get their guards to carry firearms, leaving their security staff unarmed as they escorted the couple to the event.

The paper also reported that Prince Harry and Megan were “guarded by a high-level protection program for many high-level agencies” during their trip.

The couple’s visit to the Netherlands comes when Prince Harry is embroiled in a court battle with the UK Home Office after being stripped of his armed security service on his retirement from the royal family.
