Google’s internal smartwatch, Google Pixel, is likely to be released soon, according to reports by technology adviser Evan Blas.
Several media reports quoted Blas, who speculated that the Pixel Watch, which is supposed to run on Wear OS 3.1, could hit the market this year, although there has been no announcement since its end on a specific launch date. Blas reportedly tweeted the online guide to Pixel Watch with the caption “It won’t be long now.”
Although his tweet does not show the name Google Pixel, it is mentioned by “Pixel Rohan” with the code name with which this smartwatch has been mentioned several times during previous leaks and details are revealed.
Although the nickname “Rohan” has been used before, it remains to be seen whether it is present on the watch. Google could probably take a more attractive name for the Pixel Watch at the time of its release, as it faces major market players such as Apple and Samsung in this segment.
Another thing that is interesting about the screenshot that the wizard shared is that it refers to Wear OS 3.1, which is not the latest version of the wearable operating system. Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 devices, for example, have Wear OS 3.2, which is an advanced version. However, it seems unlikely that Google will release the Pixel Watch without its own latest software.
Previously, it was rumored that the watch will be released on May 11, July and October 2022. However, so far there is no confirmation of this information. By the way, the May date coincides with the I / O conference in 2022 and can still be a reliable launch date.
