The first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder has been released, and the God of Thunder is finally getting a much-needed break from being a superhero. Fortunately, the Guardians of the Galaxy are also around to make his free time a little more exciting.
One thing we don’t see much in the trailer is what exactly will be the rest of Thor’s story this time around. We only get a brief look at Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), who is now in charge of New Asgard. Nor do we see the new villain of Christian Bale, Gore, the butcher God, or much of Russell Crowe’s Zeus. Still, we see our first little glimpse of what appears to be Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster, who owns a refurbished Mölnir like the new Thor.
Thor: Love and Thunder is again directed by Taika Waititi, who also directed Thor: Ragnarok. Whitey also returns to voice Fortnite rock-loving man Corg. Whitey also co-wrote this fourth Thor film with Jennifer Caitin Robinson (Cute / Vicious).
Thor: Love and Thunder will hit theaters on July 8.
