Fracture: A woman dies after a collision in Lee

A woman died after an accident in the early hours of Wigan. The 50-year-old woman was hit by a car at Kirkhall Lane, Leigh, around 1.30am on Wednesday.

Emergency services arrived on the scene to signal that a pedestrian had been hit by a car. The blue Mini Cooper was traveling on the road to the Atherleigh Way when he collided with the woman.

Police then confirmed the sad news that the woman had died. The driver of the car stopped on the spot and assisted the employees in carrying out the inspection.

Paramedics from the Northwest Ambulance were also present at the site, which saw that the road was closed overnight before reopening shortly before 8 am.
