Johnny Depp’s testimony continued on Wednesday when he stood for a second day to testify against his ex-wife Amber Heard, whom he accused of ruining his reputation and career with false accusations of domestic violence.
On Wednesday, Depp testified about the details of his relationship with Hurd, claiming that she used his personal weaknesses as “ammunition.”
“It seemed like pure hatred for me,” he said, arguing that Hurd would call and escalate misunderstandings in “full-scale disputes.”
“In all these situations, my main goal was to give in,” he said.

Asked why Depp stayed with Hurd, given her alleged behavior, he said it was “complicated.” He suggested that the answer was related to his own mother’s violence against his father.

Depp also claims that Hurd has threatened suicide in the past. “Many times when I was trying to leave, she would stop me in front of the security elevator, cry and shout, ‘I can’t live without you, I’m going to die.’

During his testimony, Depp told the court about his previous opioid addiction and difficult recovery. He spoke of how difficult it was to withdraw, calling his detoxification “the lowest moment of my life.” According to Depp Hurd, he refused his medication while trying to recover.
The actor claims that he is not and has never been an alcoholic.
He also testified that Hurd used several drugs on various occasions, including MDMA (ecstasy), magic mushrooms and a drug comparable to speed.
Depp told the court that the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement when they married. In 2015, during a notorious trip to Australia, Depp claimed to have asked Hurd to sign a post-marriage contract.
Hurd, according to Depp, rejected the idea of a post-marriage contract. Depp claims that this has caused a dispute that has escalated into “madness” and “violence”.
He said he had tried to get out of the situation, “but to no avail”.

At the time, Depp said he had been sober for “many, many months” except for marijuana. After the battle with Hurd, he said he was a “wreck” and “did not understand why all this was happening.”
Depp testified that this argument led him to “pour himself two or three hard shots of vodka.”
“She went to me and grabbed a bottle of vodka,” he said. He claims that Hurd “threw” a bottle of vodka at him, which went past his head and crashed behind him.
Depp said he then grabbed another bottle of vodka and continued drinking. He claims that Hurd threw the second bottle of alcohol at him again.

“At first I didn’t feel the pain,” he said. “I looked down and realized that the tip of my finger had been cut off and I was looking straight at my protruding bones.

Depp said that in the midst of his “nervous breakdown,” he began writing “little reminders of our past” on the walls with his own blood, including “little lies I caught her in.”
Depp then said he had sent a message to his doctor that his finger had been cut off.
He said he initially lied about how he cut off his finger because “he didn’t want to get Mrs. Hurd in trouble.”
Depp also accused Hurd of putting out a lighted cigarette on his right cheek after cutting off his finger.
His legal team accepted a number of photos as evidence, including a photo of Depp in hospital lying in a wheelchair and another close-up, a graphic photo of his injured finger.
After lunch, the jury was shown another photo of Depp with a bruise on his face from what he called the “stairwell incident.” Depp claims to have heard that he was “bypassed”, causing the wound.
He testified after another confrontation over “something or something,” and Hurd tried to hit him. Depp claims that Whitney, Hurd’s sister, set foot on Amber’s path to stop her. The actor said that Hurd managed to “stab him in the cheekbone” by touching his sister. He did not remember what the battle was about.

Depp’s legal team then released an audio clip in which the ex-spouses appear to be arguing. In the audio, the couple, according to Depp, is arguing about how he left an argument to go to the bathroom to get a seat.
The jury heard Hurd say in the video that she was “upset” and “Ambien”.
“You can’t find a solution if the dispute continues to grow,” Depp said in the audio clip. Hell, I go into the bathroom and sit on the floor.
In the audio recording, Depp accuses Hurd of hitting him.
“By the way, I didn’t hit you,” Hurd said in the video. “I’m sorry, I didn’t slap you in the face with a proper slap, but I hit you.” I didn’t hit you. “

The jury was also shown photos of Depp from 2015 with scratches on his face. He claims that the scratches came from a quarrel with Hurd, where “she had a problem with rage with me.”

He testified as he entered his office, Hurd came out of the bedroom and “started hitting me madly, in the back of my head, on the side of my head, anything he could connect with.”
Depp claims he put Hurd in a “sword hug” to stop her from hitting him. He said it led to “contact” on their foreheads, which he said the jury had led Hurd to accuse Depp of “hitting her head and breaking her nose.”
“No part of my body came in contact with her nose,” he said, though Hurd seemed to be showing him a bloody clinex.
Depp said that after Hurd threw away the handkerchief, he took it out of the trash in the bathroom, examined it, and found that red was “nail polish.”
“Every time one of these incidents happened, it seemed to get worse and worse,” Depp said, given the level of alleged abuse.
The actor also told the court that Hurd claimed to have thrown a box of mineral alcohol in his nose.
Depp appeared on the stand for the first time on Tuesday, detailing his troubled childhood at the hands of a abusive mother, sharing the history and frequency of drug and alcohol use, and providing details of the beginning of his relationship with Hurd.
