A family has captured the terrifying moment when a monstrous great white shark attacks their boat while fishing.
David Tuckfield was on the water off the coast of Mandura, south of Perth, last Friday with his wife Kunya and 14-year-old son when they spotted a shark lurking beneath the surface.
The great white, which Mr. Tuckfield assumed was up to four meters long, swam right to the side of the boat, opening its mouth wide and revealing its razor-sharp teeth.
He then began to land on the boat’s engine before touring the family for an hour I will never forget.

“I was goosebumps, I’ve never seen one so big,” Ms. Tuckfield told Nine News.
Their son Shelby was spinning in his prey when the predator suddenly invaded the surface.
“You can feel the boat move a little when he hits it,” Mr Tuckfield said.

The boat’s engine was left worse for wear and tear, as was the Burley cage.
Ms. Tuckfield was heard screaming in shock as the shark jumped aboard the boat, but the family said the dreaded reunion was the highlight of their Easter weekend.
“We don’t appreciate them until you see them up close, and this is their playground,” Mr Tuckfield said.
