We see Apple’s conscious efforts to become more environmentally friendly – especially after the company decided to skip charging its smartphones.

However, a report from the Cupertino giant (highlighted by Widgets360) reveals how they have increased the use of recycled materials in their products by as much as 20 percent.
This was revealed in Apple’s report on environmental progress for 2022, where it was revealed that the brand has already successfully introduced certified recycled gold in its devices. In addition, they have more than twice recycled tungsten, rare earth elements and cobalt.
Apple also revealed that in 2021, 59% of all aluminum supplied by Apple comes from recycled sources. He also took care to make huge improvements in the company’s goal of removing plastics from its packaging by 2025.
In 2021, plastics account for only four percent of packaging. In addition, since 2015 there has been a 75% reduction in the total use of plastic in packaging.

Apple devices also include 45 percent certified recycled rare earth elements, 30 percent recycled tin, 13 percent certified recycled cobalt and certified recycled gold in fiscal 2021.
They introduced a new recycling machine called Taz, which is essentially a shredder for separating magnets from audio modules while recovering more rare earth elements. Even Daisy, the recycling robot that was introduced in 2018, can now share 23 iPhone models for the recycling process.
