LETTER: Early morning trip home ruined by shabby city roads

The next letter about the state of Sault Ste. Marie’s paths came from Iva Bedinski:

I am writing about the road conditions in Sault Ste.Marie.

My husband and I drove eight hours from Ottawa and had a wonderful Easter in Salt.

In the morning, when we had to leave, we woke up at 5:30 in the morning to start earlier.

Our trip ended abruptly when we came across a hole in the Black Road just before accessing Trunk.

The car in front of us suffered the same fate as we saw it hit one and start to get out of control.

We were unable to react and burst a tire instantly.

What was supposed to be an early start turned out to be a five-hour delay with a $ 250 bill.

How embarrassing for Sault. Main road artery for travelers in absolute ruin.

Someone will be seriously injured or worse some of these days.

What does it take to fill holes we all know you are well aware of?

This is absolutely unacceptable.

We will not be back in Sault soon. You left bad taste in our mouths.

Shame on City of Sault Ste. Marie and Mayor Provenzano.
