Forest Hills, Queens (WABC) – A suspect in the murder of a mother of two in Queens has appeared before a first-time judge.
Late Thursday night, more details were revealed about what allegedly happened at the family’s home on a normally quiet street. Prosecutors say the victim let her accused killer into her home.
Prosecutors provided police with a transcript of a recorded statement from David Bonola, 44, where they said he had confessed.

He is accused of killing 51-year-old Orsoyla Gaal at her home in Forest Hills on Saturday.
Police say the two had an extramarital affair for two years until she wanted to end it.
Bonola was a craftsman hired by the victim’s family, and police say the two quarreled in her basement with her teenage son, who slept upstairs.
“There is a heated argument between the two in the basement. A knife is being brandished and a brutal fight ensues, as a result of which our victim has been stabbed mercilessly and brutally more than 55 times,” said Chief of Detectives James Essig.
The victim’s throat was also cut.
Police say surveillance cameras filmed Bonola using a hockey bag belonging to the victim’s son to carry his body through the streets of Forest Hills before dumping it half a mile in a park.
According to officials, after the body was dumped, Bonola fled through the park, where investigators found his jacket.
They also said that bloody bandages were found during the investigation and that Bonola received treatment for wounds on both his hands at a local medical facility.
Investigators say this shows that the victim tried to fight.
At this point, Bonola remains behind bars without a guarantee. He was also placed under surveillance for suicide.
Bonola is of Mexican descent and arrived in the United States 21 years ago.
