Linda Marquez, 30, was fatally shot while parked in front of her house at 2229 Wateroak Dr., northwest of Fanshawe Park and Wonderland Roads, around 8 p.m. on Sept. 10.

Police released a photo Thursday of a man with whom investigators want to talk about the murder.

“We have done a lot of work on this investigation and we would like to talk to someone who caught our attention,” Det.-Insp said. Alex Kriegsman, adding that the man is not considered a suspect.

Police are asking the public to help identify the man shown in the photo in a white mask and coffee cup, as well as information about his whereabouts on September 9th and 10th.

“The public is really the eyes and ears of our community, so we return to. . . ask them for more information and help us track his movement, “Kriegsman said.

Police say they believe the killers traveled from the Toronto area on September 9 and left London the day after Marquez was killed. Earlier, investigators released a photo of two men carrying guns.

The suspects’ black Volkswagen Jetta – found five days later on Meadowlily Road South, 18 kilometers from the crime scene – was stolen from Bluffers Park and Beach in Scarborough on September 5, police said.

Police have called Marquez’s death – one of only two unsolved murders in London in the last decade – a deliberate murder, but friends and family are wondering why she will be targeted.

Marquez lived in a two-story house in Fox Hollow, London, with his 28-year-old partner, Ali Bati, and their one-year-old son.

Bhatti has been in jail since his arrest on Jan. 6 when police say they stopped a vehicle near Wonderland and Farrah roads and seized two loaded pistols. Investigators later searched the home of Wateroak Drive, seizing cocaine and other drugs, police said.

Bhati faces 14 charges, including possession of a firearm, negligent possession of a firearm, possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm knowing that the serial number was forged, and possession of drugs.

Bhati’s bail was denied and he was detained at the central northern penitentiary in Penetanguishene, northwest of Bari. He was due to appear in court in London on Wednesday, but the case was adjourned after Batty was not transported to London for reasons not revealed in court.
