Megan Markle’s estranged half-sister accused Prince Harry of “hypocrisy” for saying he wanted to “protect the queen” after he flew out of LA to see her.
The Duke of Sussex said in an interview with American television that one of the reasons he flew to the UK last week to see his grandmother was because he wanted to make sure “she is protected and has the right people around her.”
The controversial comment, coming from a man who has spent much of the past two and a half years abroad, has sparked outrage and speculation about who he might be referring to.
Megan’s half-sister Samantha Markle, 57, told LBC today: “You know Harry came out and said he just wanted to protect the queen, it’s like sitting there lighting a cannonball and saying, ‘Wait, okay, here you go. “I’m lighting this cannonball, here it is, but I’m protecting you.”
“It’s not like that, it’s such hypocrisy and actions don’t speak as loudly as words, works speak loudly, but actions don’t, it’s just awful.”

The host of the program, Nick Ferrari, asked Samantha what she thought about the allegations that part of the reason for the reaction to Megan was because of her skin color and “racist element”.
Samantha replied: “I think it came out, it was definitely PR that came out in defense of some of her actions that she was called for, because it only started when there was a lot of controversy about lavish spending and lies and things that went wrong. ‘
Ferrari asked, “Aren’t you buying it, Samantha?”
Samantha said, “I’m not buying it. I think when they were held accountable for their own actions, suddenly the lure was the card of the race.

This comes after reports that the royal family is “tired” of the endless soap opera around Prince Harry – but determined to do it the usual way when they celebrated the Queen’s 96th birthday.
While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge worked in London yesterday, where they had to avoid questions about the latest allegations of the embittered prince by television operators, the monarch enjoyed a quiet day in Sandringham.
Some say Charles is “tired” of the constant arguments, but encouraged by the fact that he saw his son last week.
Clarence House said she “will not be involved in commenting on a private meeting,” but one source said Charles and Camilla looked “pleased” after meeting Harry and Megan in Windsor.
William and Kate were forced to avoid questions about Harry’s comment while visiting the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) in London this week.
As they were leaving, a television operator called William, “Sir, does the Queen need protection?”
The couple did not stop and did not answer.
William will probably be annoyed by his position, as he and his wife have emphasized the generosity of the British to the DEC call in Ukraine, which has raised more than 300 million pounds so far.
