Bayern Munich won a historic 10th consecutive Bundesliga title as they walked to a 3-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.
Serge Gnabri brought Bayern forward after 15 minutes with a volley from the edge of the penalty area. Robert Lewandowski doubled the home team’s lead with a close shot in the 34th minute after a mistake in Dortmund’s defense.

Emre Can withdrew for Dortmund from a penalty after 52 minutes, but all the nerves around the tense finish were calmed when Jamal Musiala scored in seven minutes until the end of the match.
The title is the first for Julian Nagelsmann as coach of Bayern, but continues an era of domination, which has not been seen before in Germany. No one had won more than three consecutive Bundesliga titles before the Bayern series.

“Just for those moments … that’s the best,” said Thomas Mueller, who became the first player to win 11 league titles. “It’s not boring. It’s exceptional. The more you earn, the more greedy you become every year.”
Bayern finished the title with five games after beating Dortmund for the second time in the Bundesliga this campaign, with the first 3-2 victory coming on 4 December.
Bayern have lost four times in the league this season to Eintracht Frankfurt, FC Augsburg, Borussia Monchengladbach and VfL Bochum, but throughout the season they were comfortable ahead of Dortmund at the top of the division.
The 2021-22 championship is Bayern’s 32nd title in total, with FC Nuremberg in second place after winning nine times. Dortmund has been a champion eight times.
