San Francisco: It is reported that before the launch of the device, technology giant Google has applied for a trademark for its long-awaited “Pixel Watch”.

According to 9To5Google, there are rumors that Google intends to launch a smartwatch powered by Wear OS for many years, and the latest cycle of rumors suggests that it may finally be on the verge of release.

In new documents filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the technology giant has filed a trademark application for the phrase “Pixel Watch.”

The registration of the trademark “Pixel Watch” is intended to cover the categories of smart watches; Cases adapted for holding smart watches; Wearable computers in the nature of smart watches; smart watch straps; strips for smart watches, the report said.

However, there are no additional details about the device to be extracted from the list of Pixel Watch brands.

The next most likely opportunity for Google to unveil the hardware is next month’s Google I / O developer event, which was previously a launch site like Pixel 3a and Nest Hub Max.

However, there are still a few more regulatory steps between the Pixel Watch and its launch, as the smartwatch has not yet been spotted in FCC or Bluetooth SIG listings, the report said.
