Jeremy David Hanson has been arrested on a bomb threat in Merriam-Webster

Throw the book at him.

A California man has faced federal charges of allegedly attacking Merriam-Webster with threatening comments and a bomb threat, the Massachusetts County Attorney’s Office said Friday.

Jeremy David Hanson, 34, who is said to have taken an exception to the definitions of the creators of the “girl”, “woman” and “woman” dictionaries, is accused of sending a number of alarming messages that have caused the company’s offices in Springfield and New York to spend five days in prison, the US prosecutor’s office said.

“You [sic] the headquarters must be shot and bombed. It is disgusting that you have succumbed to the cultural Marxist, the unscientific trance [sic] agenda and changed the definition of “woman” as part of the left’s efforts to corrupt and degrade the English language and deny reality, “said Hanson. “You evil Marxists must all be killed. It would be poetic justice for someone to break into your offices and shoot the place without leaving any of you Commissioners alive. ”

In another statement, Hanson said he would “bomb your offices”, according to the US Attorney’s Office. Threat posts were made anonymously between October 2 and 8 in the comments section of the site and through the “Contact Us” page. Federal agencies said they were able to follow up on Hanson’s comments. He now faces charges of interstate communication for threats of violence.

Jeremy David Hanson claims that Merriam-Webster humiliates “English” with his definition of “woman.” Google Maps Hanson says Merriam-Webster follows a “cultural Marxist, anti-scientific transgender program” with its definitions of “girl.” Merriam-webster.com

“Everyone has the right to express their opinion, but repeated threats to kill people are said to take it to a new level,” said Joseph R. Bonavolonta, a special agent with the FBI’s Boston office. “We will always persecute people who try to intimidate and isolate members of our community by inciting violent, hateful actions. Threats to life are certainly not protected speech and cause real fear in the victims. Rest assured that the FBI will do everything possible to bring to justice anyone who commits these crimes.

Hanson is due to appear in court on April 29.
