Shahid Kapoor suffered a concussion with Jersey. Three years ago, he released one of the greatest hits of all time in Bollywood with “Kabir Singh”. The film raised more than 300 rupees.
But with Jersey, he couldn’t get a proper opening. The film garnered around Rs 3.75 crore net, a disastrous start.
A big star like Shahid Kapoor’s film, which starts with such a low amount, is a shock.
“KGF Chapter 2” was opened with a net 53.95 crore Rs. In other words, KGF 2 raised Rs 50 more than Jersey raised on the first day.
At this rate, the film may not collect what Nani’s version of Telugu has collected in her lifetime.
Nani’s “Jersey”, on which the Hindi film is based, raised about 20 kroner (share) in AP and Telangana.
Directed by Gotham Tinanuri, Jersey is an official remake. The Hindi film won mixed reviews. However, Shahid Kapoor won brilliant reviews for his performance.
