A man wanted for alleged sexual assault on a teenager in a Markham mall has surrendered, York Regional Police said.
Police announced the arrest of 28-year-old Gen Lee on Friday in connection with the alleged attack on a 15-year-old boy in the Unionville Gate and Kennedy Road areas on Sunday.
Police said the boy entered a public restroom in the mall between 5:40 and 5:53 p.m. and was sexually assaulted by an unknown man.
On Thursday, police released to the public images from the suspect’s security cameras in an attempt to identify him.

Police said Lee surrendered on Friday and was charged with sexual assault, sexual intercourse with a person under 16 and an invitation to sexual intercourse under 16.
“Investigators are urging all witnesses, additional victims or anyone with information to come out,” police said, asking them to call the special victim unit at 1-866-87605423 ext. 7071 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
