Matthew Roach enters Canadian history with his 14th victory in “Jeopardy!”

Nova Scotia’s Jeopardy! champion Matea Roach made history after winning more games than any other Canadian athlete.

The 23-year-old teacher won her 14th straight game on Friday night, earning an additional $ 34,000.

Roach’s profits have already reached $ 320,081.

During Friday’s episode, Roach competed against Claire Dosier, a nonprofit from Atlanta, Georgia, and Anna Meyer, a food technologist from Seattle, Wa.

According to the “Danger!” Daily result in boxing, Roach tried to hum 42 times and was successful 32 times, for a success rate of 76 percent.

She had 28 correct answers, for the correct percentage of 85 percent in regular play.

With Friday’s win, Roach also won a spot in “Jeopardy!” books with records, becoming the eighth person in the list of consecutive games of all time and the 10th in the list of the highest cash winnings outside of tournaments of all time.

After Friday’s match, Roach said she never expected to be one of the show’s top champions.

“It was such a crazy season of series and I was totally thinking about Amy [Schneider] maybe he’s still here, “Roach said.

“If it’s not Amy, there will be another super-champion who will just knock me out in the First Game. I guess what I didn’t realize was maybe I could become the super champion I wanted to see in the world. ”

During Roach’s 14 appearances on the show, she answered 93 percent of the questions correctly.

Roach, who is a native of Halifax but now lives in Toronto, first applied for the long-running game show in 2020. This January, she was invited to Los Angeles to record an episode.

Roach will try his 15th victory Monday night when he faces two new contenders, Michael Graf of Eastvale, California, and Jesse Francis of Marietta, Georgia.
