Seemingly revealed file sizes for many upcoming releases on the switch

Nintendo has announced the release dates for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Splatoon 3 this week. And now, to add to that, the file sizes also seem to have been revealed through the official website. We also have the dimensions of Nintendo Switch Sports.

So what do we look for in each game? Here’s how much space you’ll need to make if you still choose digital versions.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – 15.0 GB

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is about 15.0 GB in size. By comparison, the base game of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was about 13.2 GB. The first game on the Nintendo Switch was about 13.7 GB.

Splatoon 3 – 6.0GB

Splatoon 3 is close to the second game, which was 6.1GB. The first Splatoon game on the Wii U was only 1.8 GB around the time of release.

Nintendo Switch Sports – 1.4GB

Nintendo Switch Sports will be around 1.4 GB at launch (April 29, but there are already additional free content updates planned that will allow players to play the game “Football” with the accessory for the leg strap. Golf will also be added in future.

As usual, these file sizes are subject to change before the official versions of each game. Even if they are not dead in terms of the size of the starting game, they should at least be some kind of indication of how much space each title will require.
