According to a report by Android Central, a prototype of the Google Pixel Watch was found in a restaurant in the Bay Area, not far from the company’s headquarters. The leaked images of the device, which can be seen here, look very similar to the leaked renderings of the upcoming smartwatch.

The device is called “Rohan”, and 9to5Google finds source code in a Google update showing that the device can use the Samsung Exynos chip. The prototype features a round dial with two physical buttons adjacent to a rotating crown, very similar to that of the Apple Watch. There is a minimal frame around the front display, with what looks like a microphone hole or other sensor found near the crown. The microphone would make sense for the device, as the watch is said to contain Google Assistant.

One person said they found the device in a restaurant in the Gulf region and agreed to share photos with Android Central on a promise of anonymity. If that sounds like deja vu, you’re right. Shamefully, Apple’s software engineer left a prototype iPhone 4 in the Bay Area bar in 2010. The prototype was eventually obtained from the technical blog Gizmodo, which posted photos of the device and crashed it. Ultimately, this also includes law enforcement and a ban on Gizmodo from attending iPhone events.

It seems that the watch will require wearers to use their own straps, which look very similar to those used in other models of smart watches Fitbit, Versa 3 and Sense. In the absence of a charging port, it also looks like the device will charge at the back, similar to charging an Apple Watch.

While leaked photos of the device make the bottom look metallic, the man said he actually has the feeling that the bottom is “covered with glass.” Updates from the end of the software cannot be reported because the device did not turn on after the boot logo.

The expiration comes weeks before Google’s annual I / O developer conference, when the device is expected to be released. The company recently launched a new brand called Pixel Watch.
