Johnny Depp took the position for the fourth day on Monday in his case against his ex-wife, after Amber Heard’s lawyers completed their cross-examination of the actor.
Depp took a position in Fairfax County Court on Tuesday afternoon. The actor spent much of that time describing the couple’s unstable relationship and denying that he had ever abused his ex-wife. Depp’s cross-examination by lawyers, which lasted all Thursday, ended on Monday afternoon.
Many of the questions focused on Depp’s drinking, drug use and alleged interactions with Hurd during their relationship, while Hurd’s lawyers tried to disprove his claim that she had falsely portrayed him as a domestic abuser and ruined his acting career. . On Monday, Hurd’s lawyers released videos of the jury, where Depp said he mentioned the couple’s violence.
“The next move, if I don’t leave … will be a bloodbath, as it was on the island,” Depp said in the recording. In another, Hurd can be heard cursing, saying “You, stupid …”.
Depp shuddered in the stands as the videos were released, while Hurd seemed to struggle with tears.

Depp said Hurd often attacked him violently and also abused drugs, calling accusations of his drug addiction “grossly embellished.”
Depp claims that his film career has suffered after she wrote a 2018 article in The Washington Post, which sparked his defamation lawsuit. Hurd never mentioned Depp by name in the article, but Depp’s lawyers said it was a clear reference to the accusations made by Hurd when she asked for a restraining order against him in 2016.
Depp said the allegations and the article contributed to an unjustly ruined reputation that turned him into a Hollywood exile and cost him his role in the lucrative Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise.
