A 38-year-old man is facing a list of charges after a riot at a gas station in Clarenville late last week.
Police received a report around 10:30 pm on Friday that a drunken man had entered the gas bar to buy cannabis from a pavilion inside.
The gas station closed for the evening, and when the employee refused to sell, police said the man was angry, urging the employee to complete the sale.
He reportedly went behind the counter, shouting at the officer, and when a random person tried to intervene, he was attacked by the man, according to police.
The accused is accused of assault, resisting arrest, threatening, damaging property and causing disorder.
