A pedestrian dies after a collision in Mississauga, Ontario: police

A pedestrian died after being hit by a driver while crossing a street in an industrial area of ​​Mississauga early Tuesday morning, Peel Regional Police said.

Ambulances were called to the southern lanes of Mavis Road near Bancroft Drive at 12:04 a.m. for a collision alert involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

They arrived to find a pedestrian with serious injuries.

They were rushed to a hospital for injuries, where they were later found dead.

Police said the driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and will not be charged.

The Bureau for Major Collisions was sent to the crash site to determine what caused the collision.
