Happy Overwatch 2 Beta Day! As many players wake up to find the golden beta ticket in their inboxes, there will inevitably be those who are left without one. But have a heart, heroes, because Blizzard has developed a way for you to win an invitation to what is essentially a soft start day for Overwatch 2.
Starting tomorrow and lasting a few hours, anyone who links their Battle.net account to their Twitch account and watches at least four hours of Overwatch 2 from the list of streamers can gain access to the OW2 beta. You can find the list of approved streamers here.
In the beta version, players will be able to check out the 33rd Sojourn character, all the new hero updates, the brand new Push game mode and the five-on-five conversion. Unfortunately, the beta version is limited to computer players, but Blizzard plans to open OW2 beta testing for console players in the future.
The promotion starts at 13:00 ET on April 27 and lasts until 21:00 ET. You do not need to watch the same streamer for all four hours, as your viewing time will accumulate in all approved channels.
If you don’t have that much time (or desire) to gain access to the beta by sticking your eyeballs on Twitch for four hours, you can also try your luck the old-fashioned way by signing up for beta access on the Overwatch 2 website. The beta runs until May 17, and Blizzard has said it will add players regularly.
Correction April 26, 1:45 PM ET: Twitch’s discontinuation of access to the beta version of Overwatch 2 begins tomorrow, April 27. An earlier version of this incorrectly published publication will begin today, April 26.
