Toronto police are trying to identify a suspect after a man allegedly threw a cup of hot coffee at a woman at the TTC.
Toronto police said the incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. on March 11, when a suspect boarded a subway train south of Bloor-Yonge Station.
The suspect approached a male passenger and started a physical altercation with him before going to a passenger, threatening to hurt her and then throwing her a cup of hot coffee, police said.
He then fled to Wellesley Station.
Investigators released photos of the suspect on Tuesday, saying he was wanted for threatening bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
The suspect is said to be about 45 to 50 years old, one meter tall and fifty to five feet tall and nine with a medium build. He has mostly shaved head with blond hair stains, a silver barrier piercing and a silver earring at the top of his left ear. He also has a tattoo on the left side of his neck.
He was wearing a black Nautica jacket, a gray and black baseball cap, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a black bag.
Police said anyone who noticed him should call 911, not approach him.
