A man found wounded in the center of Guelph dies

Guelph police say a man who was found wounded on a street in the city center has been pronounced dead in hospital.

Police Media Liaison Officer Scott Tracy said emergency services were called to Yarmouth Street shortly before noon to report a man who was found on the street with “obvious injuries”.

He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Yarmouth Street was closed for investigation Wednesday afternoon.

Shortly before 7 pm, police issued a statement saying they did not suspect dishonesty in the man’s death.
