The OPP has completed its investigation into human remains in the city of Kingsville.
Police say that around 14:00 on April 26, 2022, officers visited the site for reporting human remains found by an excavation crew working in the area.

Late Wednesday, the OPP said that after a thorough examination by a forensic anthropologist, it had been found that the human remains found would not be part of a criminal investigation and had been identified as historic in nature.
The remains were reported to the Funeral and Cremation Services of the Secretary of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services and will not include an additional police investigation.
