A man is dead after a shooting in the Swansea neighborhood on Thursday night.
Toronto police said they received sound signals from gunshots in The Queensway and Windermere Avenue just before 10 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a 30-year-old man in a car with no vital signs. They then began life-saving measures by performing CPR on the victim.
He was rushed to a trauma center in critical condition, but was later pronounced dead.
The homicide unit has been called in to investigate.
Police said they found traces of gunfire at the scene.
A vehicle was seen fleeing the area, police said, but there was no immediate suspicion.
