AJ Brown Trading: Reactions to Eagles’ big trade for a new wide receiver

Shortly after the Eagles swapped to No. 13 for DT Jordan Davis, they made a hit that fans were waiting for – Howie Roseman not only traded for WR AJ Brown, but also signed with him for a four-year, $ 100 million extension. Brown immediately responded to the Eagles’ attack and is another familiar face to Jalen Hurts. QB and WR are already working together this off-season, so it’s convenient.

This is a move that was mostly unexpected, but instantly noted. Brown is the big successor that the Eagles’ attack needed, and together with DeVonta Smith, he will be a big problem for the defense this season (and probably three more seasons later).

There is no doubt that trading with AJ Brown was well received by his new teammates.

Manet, I’m very excited

We have AJ Brown and Jordan Davis. Plus Sixers won. Today was a great day for sports in Philadelphia!

This move was also noted by analysts.

John Robinson said trading with AJ Brown was a difficult decision that came together over the last 18 hours and really heated up this afternoon. They felt that they had reached the point where the deal would be really difficult to reach an agreement. # Titans.

AJ Brown was the 4th best rated WR at @PFF in 2021, 4th in 2020 and 13th in 2019.

His rank in yards on a route passing through these years: 5th in 2021, 2nd in 2020, 5th in 2019 #Eagles

The Eagles turned Carson Wentz into an additional selection for the first round and then turned an additional selection from the first round into AJ Brown.

There were other pieces and moves, but in the end it wasn’t a bad compromise for Philly.
