As of Sunday, insured drivers from British Columbia will no longer need to show an ICBC sticker on their registration numbers.
The change coincides with the official launch of ICBC for online insurance renewal.
Under the new model, drivers can renew their policy online up to 44 days before it expires. ICBC says about 3,000 people have already used the new method.
Most single-owner personal vehicles that do not make any changes to their insurance coverage are eligible for online renewal. The public can check if they meet the conditions here.

People who renew online will still need to print a copy of their insurance documents to keep them in their vehicle.

Anyone who buys a new policy or makes changes to their existing policy will still have to do so in person.
However, the transition to online renewal will not save drivers money.
Autoplane brokers will still have to review each renewal and will continue to receive the same amount to renew an insurance policy, whether online or in person.
There will be no change in the base rate at ICBC until December.
